Ruth E. Toulson joined the faculty at 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 in Fall 2015. She is a Cambridge trained socio-cultural anthropologist (PhD 2009) whose ethnographic research shifts between sites in Southeast Asia and Mainland China.
Supported through external grants, this research program has resulted in a book, Necropolitics of the Ordinary, two edited volumes, The Materiality of Mourning: Cross-disciplinary Perspectives (with Zahra Newby), and The Cambridge Handbook of the Anthropology of Death (with Sarah Wagner and Sarah Richardson), as well as numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. She has lectured at the Gatty Lecture Series (Cornell), The Centre for the Study of Death and Society (University of Bath, UK), The Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies.
