Amy Eisner received her AB in English from Harvard University and her MA in poetry from The Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University.

She has taught creative writing and literature at Maryland Institute College of Art, Johns Hopkins, and the Center for Academically Talented Youth, and has been a primary school poet-in-residence through Baltimore City and the Maryland State Arts Council.
