Andrea Evans

Andrea Sherrill Evans is a visual artist residing in Baltimore, MD, with a practice based in drawing, painting, performance, and sculpture. Evans received her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston/Tufts University and BFA in painting from Arizona State University. She is a recipient of a Massachusetts Cultural Council Artist Fellowship in Drawing, St. Botolph Club Foundation Emerging Artist Award, and Blanche E. Colman award. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States at locations including The Dorado Project at the Buggy Factory (Brooklyn, NY), Montserrat College of Art (Beverly, MA), Mobius (Boston, MA), New Art Center (Newton, MA), Allegheny College (Meadville, PA), SPACE Gallery (Pittsburgh, PA), Phoenix College (Phoenix, AZ), and eye lounge (Phoenix, AZ).

Evans is the founding editor of Temporary Land Bridge, a website dedicated to art practice featuring interviews, artist writing, and exhibition coverage. She is a member of the New Craft Artists in Action, a fiber arts collective that integrates the skills, materials, and histories of athletics, craft, public space aesthetics, labor, recreation, and feminism.
