Please note: This program has been transitioned to the Drawing studio minor for students entering 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 starting Fall 2024 of later. The information presented here is for current students completing the program as a major.

Drawing can inform an artist in a way that is not easily matched.

Learning to draw means learning to discern the qualities of visual forms and the spaces they occupy. We believe that these skills and the creative possibilities explored through drawing are as important for those pursuing a career in the applied arts as they are for the fine artist. To that end, 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 is committed to achieving the highest level of drawing proficiency among its students.

Independent Studio Space

Drawing majors benefit from the facilities at 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网’s Fred Lazarus IV Studio Center, a historic industrial building just a short walk from the central campus. Located in Baltimore’s Station North Arts & Entertainment District, it includes independent studio space for upper-division students in drawing, painting, and GFA. The facility also allows you to rub elbows with 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网’s graduate students and be a part of a strong community of graduate and undergraduate fine artists.

Internships

Design Your Creative Pathway to Success

Internships are key to building experience as a student. 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网's Drawing majors have interned in the studios of artists such as Tony Shore and Sherry Wolf, at the Herman Maril Foundation, with an exhibit designer for the National Aquarium and for Flat Vernacular, a Brooklyn-based specialty wallpaper company founded by 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 alumni.

The Joseph Meyerhoff Center for Career Development can help you identify opportunities, and guide you through planning.
