Ashley Guchhait

Ashley Guchhait (she/her) is an alumnus of 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 and holds an ESL Tutor Certificate. She obtained her BFA in Interactive Arts with a concentration in Game Arts and Humanistic Studies, focusing on Creative Writing and Art History. Ashley also holds an ESL Tutor Certificate. Along with fellow tutor Kyrstin Cooksey, she launched Boba Studios, a Baltimore-based, women-owned video game studio during her senior year. She has a love of professional development she fostered while working in 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网’s Center for Career Development as a student and an alumnus. She is experienced in working with ELL students to prepare them for their college experience as a part of 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网’s International Student Cultural Orientation Program (ISCOP) program. Ashley is excited to work with students in writing of all creative and academic forms, as papers and as artwork, including interactive mediums.

DJ Hills

DJ Hills (they/them) is a writer for the page, stage, and screen. DJ has several years of experience as a writing tutor, including creative and academic writing, personal statements, and resume and cover letter reviews. Their writing includes the short film Love Poem, the play TRUNK BRIEF JOCK THONG (shortlist Yale Drama Series), and the poetry chapbook, Leaving Earth (Split Rock Press). BA: English and Theater, Goucher College. MFA: Playwriting, UCLA.

Elizabeth Wagenheim

Elizabeth teaches in the Humanistic Studies department at 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网. Her expertise is working with multilingual students. When she's not tutoring or teaching, Elizabeth enjoys hanging out with horses, doing word puzzles, and parenting her college-aged kids.

Fatin Abdal-Sabur

I have been an academic writing and ESL instructor for the past two decades, in addition to being well-versed (pun intended) in creative writing and copywriting. My specialties are development of an academic voice, content structure, organization, and all ELL concerns. I look forward to working with you!

Isabel (Isa) Goldstein

Isabel (Isa) Goldstein (she/her) has an MFA in Multidisciplinary Art/Painting from 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网, a BS in Studio Arts, a BS in International Affairs, and an ESL Tutor Certificate. She presently teaches studio arts courses at Loyola University-Maryland. In 2023, Isabel was awarded a Painting Residency at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont, and a Research Development Grant from 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网.

Kyrstin Cooksey

Kyrstin Cooksey (she/her) is a recent alumnus of 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 (2018), where she attained her BFA in Animation with a concentration in Game Arts. Kyrstin also has an ESL Tutor Certificate. She engaged through co-running a student organization and working in the Decker Library, where she developed research skills. Along with fellow tutor Ashley Guchhait, she launched Boba Studios, a Baltimore-based, women-owned video game studio during her senior year. Additionally, she has experience working with ELL students to help them adjust to their experience at 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 as a part of the International Student Cultural Orientation Program (ISCOP). Kyrstin specializes in writing for art mediums like animation, games, and comics in the Writing Studio.

Nels Challinor

Nels Challinor is a writer, teacher, and avid fly fisherman currently living in Baltimore, MD. His writing combines a literary style with genre tropes and techniques. Nels is the host of Written and Read, a bimonthly podcast showcasing original prose and poetry. He teaches English composition and writing at the Community College of Baltimore County.

Susannah Mohan

Susannah Mohan (she/her) holds a BA, double major in Writing and Religion, and a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). For seven years, she taught English to Tibetan refugees in Dharamshala, India; additionally, she served as Communications Director for Outreach Programs for the Norbulingka Institute-Dharamshala, an organization dedicated to preserving Tibetan arts and scholastic history. Susannah has over 13 years of experience teaching ELL at several local venues, including 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 and Strong City Baltimore's Adult Learning Center.

Jess Bither

Jess Bither (she/her) has an MA in Critical Studies. After graduating, she taught film, critical theory, and writing workshop classes at 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网. Jess recently shifted her focus to online learning and earned an Instructional Design Certificate in 2024. She is eager to help students with their academic and creative writing projects including but not limited to art history essays, poetry, screenwriting, and artist statements. Her research interests include reception theory and representations of the body in contemporary art. In her spare time she writes about B-movies and the local art scene for Baltimore-based zines.
