Due to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), SOS cannot provide any information regarding a student’s situation to individuals outside of 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 (parents, family members, significant others etc.) without a student’s express permission.

However, the Office of Student Outreach and Support is not a confidential resource like a therapist or a doctor.

While we maintain a student’s privacy regarding specific, sensitive personal information, our office’s work (non-clinical case management) necessitates communication with relevant internal 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 stakeholders to coordinate effective student support.

The Office Student Outreach and Support staff are Responsible Employees, which means we have a legal obligation to report sexual misconduct or discrimination to the Office of Equity Compliance.

If you have experienced a situation involving sexual misconduct that you do not wish to be reported, please consider speaking with a licensed clinician for support.

Additionally any information shared with SOS where there is a threat of harm to self or others will be reported to Campus Safety and the Behavioral Health Intervention Team.
