To support the wellbeing of 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 students who have experienced the death of a loved one, the Office of Student Support can provide absence support advocacy for students in the immediate time surrounding their loss allowing them the opportunity to grieve and be available for their families.
No documentation of death is required for the Office of Student Support to provide bereavement absence support advocacy on behalf of a student to their faculty. Once students complete the Bereavement Absence Support Form SOS will provide five consecutive business days of absence support for bereavement related absences.
If students are struggling to navigate their student experience and academics following their return to classes they are welcome to meet with SOS for support. SOS provides 1:1 non-clinical case management meetings where SOS staff work with students to identify relevant resources to assist students in navigating their current situation.
If a student needs to request Incomplete Advocacy, Medical Withdrawals, or a Leave of Absence due to the loss of a loved one they should complete the corresponding request form as soon as possible. Students have two weeks following the submission of their request for Incomplete Advocacy, Medical Withdrawals or a Leave of Absence to provide supporting documentation regarding their loss to the Office of Student Support to support their request.
