Christine Wolfe Strong&rsquo\;s crocheted sculptures ride the line\, defying categorization. They explore science\, nature\, experience\, and belief. The artist begins with a set of rules: magical numbers or significant dates\, color relationships\, images of roots and spirals. The process is symbiotic&mdash\;despite the artist&rsquo\;s control\, the work takes on a life of its own\, dictating its needs. Wolfe Strong will follow a single line until it interrupts itself. The works grow like tentacles\, stalactites\, mushrooms\, fold in on each other\, and build form. The final imagery draws parallels between micro and macro structures&mdash\;lines could be blood rushing through veins or water through rivers. The view through a telescope or microscope could easily be confused. Christine Wolfe Strong&rsquo\;s artwork asks the viewer to consider their perspective&mdash\;of the world\, art\, and life.
