Andy Bichlbaum is a writer\, producer and activist and will be here at 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 \;to discuss his \;films\, \;art work\, and political activist \;tactics. \; Andy Bichlbaum (a.k.a. Jacques Servin) began his current adulthood by inserting a swarm of kissing men to a shoot-'em-up video game just before it shipped to store shelves. Finding himself fired and momentarily famous\, he opted to go into weird activism. Since then\, as co-founder of the Yes Men (www.theyesmen.org)\, he's worked for entities such as Exxon\, Dow\, Monsanto\, and the US Chamber of Commerce\, as well as for the New York Times\, the New York Post\, and the Washington Post\, all without their approval. \; *This event will be followed by a Q &\; A discussion with Andy Bichlbaum (The Yes Men)\, along with 澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 faculty members\, Nadia Hironaka (Film and Video) and Firmin DeBrabander (Arts and Humanities). This public program has been made possible by the Maryland Institute College of Art&rsquo\;s \;Mixed Media Speaker Series\, hosted by the Film and Video Department in part with the JHU-澳门金沙投注_任你博-官网 Film Centre and Evil Twin Booking Agency.  \; SUMMARY:Lecture: Andy Bichlbaum of the Yes Men DTSTART:20190327T230000Z DTEND:20190328T035959Z END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
