Affirming the multilayered experience of the African-American diaspora, Gibbs plunges the viewer into an immersive experience, the realm of his childhood. Gibbs has exhibited at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, The Galleries at CCBC and The Gallery at Howard University. His work is in the permanent collection of the Columbus Museum of Art.

As CEO of Aerothreads, Aleksandra Bogunovic leads a woman-owned small business in College Park, Maryland that specializes in the design, fabrication and installation of Multi-Layer Insulation blankets that protect spacecraft hardware from the harsh environment of space. Her team is made up of makers, artists and engineers, most of whom have a background in textiles, fibers, fashion, or costume design.
